How many GPH of filtration should I have for a 10-gallon planted tank? I'd only like to keep a few tetras or corys along with some shrimp, so no huge bioload for this tank. The current filter that I am planning to use is a Tetra PF10 HOB filter. I know, it's supposed to use activated carbon, but I think (correct me if I'm wrong) I can just put some mechanical + biological filtration media in there no problem. I googled the filter and it is supposedly 90 GPH, but I could only find one source to support this number. Will this filter be suitable for a 10-gallon planted with some small fish? If not, I would appreciate suggestions for a filter to use, preferably on the more affordable side.
Thanks!
