any suggestions on a filter for this tank with shrimp in it?

I was thinking of an aquaclear 500 if it will fit

A canister is generally an efficient and aesthetic option, is there any reason you need a HOB or are you wanting a suggestion of any type of filter?

I am running a Toms mini canister filter on my 7G rimmless and i love it works great for my CRS/CBS tank.

how about a zoomed 501

Ya both are pretty similar as a mini canister. I have never used the zoomed 501 but i have heard good things about it. I got a great deal on my toms but i was looking at either one of these.

I have a tom canister on a mini s, and it's barely enough..
