Filter for 10G

I have a 10G with a Fluval Nano filter. It is rated 80gph. It is not enough flow for the planted tank.

What would be a good internal or canister filter for this 10G planted tank?

In addition to or instead of ? How much space are yu willing to give up inside your
tank ? The reason I asked is because an AquaClear has a good rep on here for long life
and you pick the media for it.
I had a 10g with an HOB on it and placed it on one end and an air stone on the other end but just had a small amount of air coming from that. It made a circular clockwise
type of current in there that was as slow or fast as you turned up the air on it.

For a canister filter, either ZooMed 501 or Finnex PX-360 will be good.

+1 to the ZooMed 501. I use that on my 5 gallon. Quiet and reliable. 10 gallon is pushing its limit though.
I run an eheim 2213 on my 10 gallon, love it. I have used an aquacleasr 50 on it too..Both great but the eheim is better.

Well I am going to try the addition of a SunSun for now. Eventually I want just 1 good filter.

I don't want the filter to take up much space. For it will be for growing out plants and killifish fry.

I have the 2213 on my 29G. I am planning on adding the Eheim Ecco 2232. Then I was going to put an Eheim 2213 on my 20G long. I may have to rethink that.

There will be killifish fry in there 1 day, thus don't want it to be to high of a current.

ZooMed is only rated 79gph though like the fluval.

I was looking at Tom's mini canister on Amazon, which is similar to the ZooMed. Since it is rated for about 80gph I thought it would be similar to the fluval though.

The Finnex PX-360 is rated at 95gph. That looks promising. Just out of my budget for now.

I have an Aquaclear 30, and it does awesome in my tank. Because I have it stuffed with extra media atm, it has a slower flow, but with the extra stuff taken out, and even with the stuff in it, my plants do move in the current, and it does an awesome job of keeping my tank clean. That and it doesn't take up much space at all, and its silent....
I sometimes feel flow is overrated. For example, I would say a Zoo Med 501 is way to small for a 10 gallon but one of my favorite tanks I ever had used that setup. I would jump up to a 511 or the Finnex mentioned for a 10 gallon, if you don't want to get into the cost of an Eheim 2211 or 2213.

In general, most consider something that turns the water over 5x-10x per hour is acceptable for a planted tank, I would say down to 3x an hour is fine. For a 10 gallon, that in the range of 30-100 gallons per hour. The smaller the tank, the more problematic high flow can be because everything is more easily pushed around.
