and "final", "angels", and "ecstatic" :D

I think it should depend on what you like more. Personally, I've always been a fan of angels.
kinda depends on how much experience you have. Both are my #1 & 2 favorites. Just started keeping discus with a 150g devoted to 15 of them. Have kept & bred angels for 50 yrs.
I like angels more, personally. I dont like the vertical lines on a discus. They remind me of a stressed fish. And angels can be more aggressive, which I like. For me it is going to weird doing a peaceful community. ROFL
And angel are just more pretty, I know discus are colourful, but I have always liked angels.
angels top my list
Being an engineering major, I'm all about the angles. :p

Sorry, had to.

Angels for me as well, Discus look cool if you really nail their setup but Angels are so much easier to deal with and they look a lot better.
Well, I've kept and bred Angels, but for me Discus win the contest, hands down.
Not only for their magificent coloration, gracefulness, and personality/character, but for the sheer satisfaction of meeting the challenge of keeping them successfully.

Well said paul.
Discus are a good challenge, and very rewarding when raised successfully.

I am an angel person as well!

But... whats the big deal with discus? I have tried them and never had an issue, even got a pair to breed.

Then again I am the person who can keep challenging fish alive without issue, but can't keep guppies alive.
Well, maybe you just got a little lucky, who knows - lol
But good for you in any event - it's not that easy - so you must have done some things right!
I angels. I love laboring over my tank and fish but discus just seem like so much work and quite expensive!

Its not for everyone, discus do require 90% more attention than angelfish...

Like comparing apples and oranges.

Angelfish! I like how they look + I'm more likely to keep them alive...

Juvinile discus yes, adults they are as easy to keep as angels really. you just pay a larger amount for an adult discus

Ha, same here. In my species tank for convicts, my pair just won't breed. In my display tank, my otos are having at it...
