I am completely new to planted tanks and I was generally wondering what kind of fertilizers I would need given the below specs:

20gallong long
Finnex Planted+ Light
40lbs of Eco-complete
No Co2
Plants I'm planning on having include various mosses (Taiwan, Phoenix, Flame, Java), dwarf hair grass, dwarf sags

I was planning on just dosing Excel but not sure which other fertilizers I would need or should avoid. I'm just worried about dosing something wrong and causing an algae outbreak. Any advice or direction is greatly appreciated.

Thank you everyone!

Thanks colaudrey for your reply. I am running an eheim 2213. At the current moment, I want to avoid co2. Given that, I'm okay with slow growth as long as it doesn't die on me.

So far, I am thinking about dosing Seachem Excel, Seachem Flourish and Seachem Flourish Potassium.

i know with DHG you'll want to run co2, or you'll get slooooww growth. Try to run 2 2L diy co2. what filtration are you using?

if you want to stay liquid, buy flourish NPK, and micros. excel only helps with nutrient uptake, you'll need to dose more than that to seen results in a 20L
