I have a 42 gallon hex it is 2 feet deep. I have a 96 watt t-5 over it with pressuried co2 i need to know what is the best carpeting plant and fastest growing for these specs. i saw Hygrophila porto velho and glosso.
Glosso grows fast but I find it to be a really messy plant. I pulled it from my tank pretty quickly.
If your sole motivation for a fast growing carpet plant is impatience keep in mind that fast growing carpet plants remain fast growing... i.e. they are going to require constant
maintenance after they fill in.
I have been liking my staurogyne repens, grows fairly quickly but is also easy (and not messy) to trim.
