Hi all!
Anybody keeping fancy plecos Leporacanthicus, hypancistrus, etc. in a planted tank?
I currently have 5 in my 180g.
I've had great success with a light bioload consisting of 40 small Tetras and these 5 plecos. I like how the tank is algae-free and the water is crystal clear.
If I add 5-10 more fancy plecos, that will 2-3X my bioload right considering they eat and weigh a lot comparing to adding 100 more Tetras for example.
What do you guys think?
Or maybe I should just start a Pleco dedicated tank.
