Well wouldn't ordinarily post this invite, but what the heck, there are probably a few serious art lovers (besides Lynny) and Thoreau lovers or readers of nature writers in the forum... so...
To you folks in the NYC area:
I am in an upcoming exhibition at Wave Hill up in Riverdale (beautiful place overlooking the Hudson) "Thoreau Reconsidered'. It is one of 4 exhibitions this year devoted to 19th century writers with a connection to the area (the others are Emily Dickinson... show just ended, Mark Twain, and Poe).
Some really interesting artists in the show. Runs June 7- August 26.
Opening reception is Sunday, June 10, 1 - 4 pm.
For details or a list of workshops, activities related to the show, hours, etc. you can call 718.549.3200 or go to their web site http://www.wavehill.org
