Excel for fissidens?

I have a little issue with hair algae in my stand of fissidens. I was curious if I could do the excel treatment to get rid of the algae. I have never used excel for algae control before.....but I really want to get this moss cleared out. If anyone could give me an idea of how to execute the Excel treatment that would be great. Thanks for you time.

NO!

use H2O2 or even a quick bleach dip
Excel will kill your Fissidens for sure!

Alright cool. How should I go about the H2O2 or bleach dip? And H202 is peroxide right? Thanks.
