I was filling my tank when the bucket slipped out of my hands and spilled water all over a bookshelf and stack of papers sitting nearby. A lot of my important papers and several books are soaked, and I don't think there's much of a way to clean paper. The tank is healthy, no sign of any disease for at least six months, if not a year, but I'm still worried about the germs that might be in the water. I have OCD, so this isn't something I can really just let go. I'm thinking that thoroughly drying the stuff will kill anything that would be in the water, and that anything that survived probably wouldn't be bad for humans or transmissable to another tank (like if I touched the soiled paper then fiddled with the tank). Is this true, or do I need to find some way to clean everything?
