I'm looking for some bottom/middle fish preferably dwarf cichilids that are:

• no bigger then 4"
• can be in a community tank
• fine in a planted tank
• easy to breed
• preferably great parents [if possible]

I'm looking to keep two pairs/groups in my 75g. I'm thinking two different species depending on the personalities

Apistos, Rams, Kribs... though Kribs can be on the aggro side.

i wouldnt go with the kribs i had a pair in my 55 for awhile and they took over the whole tank when they bred

Try Golden Dwarfs (Nanacara) or Lataecara Dorsiger or Curviceps. All are great for exhibiting parental care!! Stay < 4" and love the planted tanks.
I have Nanacara Anomela growing up and I have never witnessed such wonderful care by the Mother from any fish - even my Betta boys don't do as good a job! The Nanacara are almost 3 weeks old and Mom still watches over them like a Hawk!
The Dorsiger and Curviceps do the same.
