Establishing Plants

827 3
Hi All,
I'm having trouble establishing my new stem plants and getting the roots to grow out.
I'm using all the sea chem products and I have adequate lighting (1.7WPG-90watt for 200ltrs/55gallon) and I'm using sea chem fertilizer tablets, but my stems in my medium gravel rot and then float to the top. My chainswords are doing very well, by the way. Any ideas?

Many Kindly Fishy Regards
Jason

A lot depends on what kind of lights you get that 90 watts from. Are they T12 bulbs, T5 bulbs, PC bulbs, screw-in power saver bulbs, or what? You could have too little light or too much light, depending on the type of light.
