Eriocaulon Ratnagiricum - What is it?

1821 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  DennisSingh
I recently bought some Eriocaulon Ratnagiricum off the for sale forums on this site having never heard of it before. Doing some research brought up little information on the species other than its rarity. I'm not sure if it's the same plant, but a plant with the same name was on the endangered species list. Does anybody have any experience with this plant that can offer some general guidelines for care? It's doing pretty well so far but I've only had it for a few days. Picture below.

Good co2, medium-high light seems like you got the rest covered. Especially when you split them in half with a razor co2 becomes really vital in growing them. I haven't a clue that this was endangered, luckily we've got growers in the hobby. Roots are really thick. Once they deteriorate its harder to grow em back, so best keep husbandry up to the optimal from the start.

you can see a root popping out on mine
