Anyone else keeping the red Eriocaulon quinquangular ?

I'm thinking of transplanting one of them to a tank with limestone and more alkaline water. KH ~ 7-9, wondering if anyone else tried growing them in these parameters and if KH made a difference.

I had this one, old leaves melt off, grew new leaves, and stupid stupid me, when rescaping left it in the bucket too long and it melted away. pretty dumb for a $80 erio
I had mine in soft water, If you have the goods, I'd say you try the harder water, but do not do away with co2.
I'll get mine back.

Updated picture when they are more fully grown.
Generally, they like fresh ADA soil, bright light, low KH.
