I'm hoping to set up a 45 gallon tall tank soon, which is 36x12x24. I plan on using an Aquaticlife 36 inch T5HO fixture, which is around 80 watts.

Would that be enough lighting for this setup? I'm not really trying anything to crazy like high-tech plants. more crypts, rotala, java ferns, easier plants, etc

Assuming this is a 2x39W, that should be "enough" for many plants.

Sorry, was referring to linking together the fact that doubling your light may require CO2. Didn't pay attention to the ability to link two fixtures. Should have used a different word :)
