Ok so....
I bought a 5 gallon fish tank kit today and I can't for the life of me figure out if I have enough LED lighting to grow low light plants, or any plants at all.
I know that trying to setup a planted tank with the lights that come with a kit is generally a big no no but if I can get away with it and I can save a few buckaroonos, I'm a happy camper.
I am buying the kits because they are overall cheaper. What I have been doing though is going through everything and replacing and/or adding better quality lights, heater, filter and so on.
Before I go out and start DIYing my lighting, I figured I'd ask you folks.
I know that I will probably seem like a knuckle head to the experienced but please be kind as I am new to the hobby and I'm trying to learn the best I can (slowly lol) I already know a lot about plants but lighting is very iffy to me, which is why I am relying mostly on nice fish people to help me. Thanks!!
Here is pics of the light.
