Got some questions about planting techniques in an emersed setup. With stem plants, should I use the section with roots or would clippings work? Anubias, does it need roots? Do I need to keep the rhizome above the dirt?

Roots are clippings are fine as long as there is enough moisture. And yes, keep the rhizome above the dirt.

I have always wanted to do this but I don't want to buy the plexiglass and cut out the top of a container. I know it isn't that much to do but making the lid and buying the additional container with the soil is just too much for me right now. Please make a journal though.

I am currently making live rock. After that, I will emerse some plants. What I want to know is a good list of plants that can be grown emersed. That's the question. What can you grow emersed, all aquatic plants?

Not quite all, but most of them. Anubias, crypts, ludwigia, rotala. Most mosses. My friend just set up a planted aquarium, and we split a package of 12 random plants, and the only one that won't grow emersed is blyxa japonica. Also hornwort and cabomba I know don't, but most do.

Over at aquatic plant central you can search their plant finder by whether or not a plant can be grown emersed.
