I don't have that exact species, but I tried for a short time with 'cardinalis'. It did not work at all in a low humidity environment for me, so I believe it would work fine with a high humidity riparium. I grow it emerged in a really high humidity environment and it does great, but when I tried it outside of that it began to wilt very quickly and the stem could not support the plant shortly after. Then again, there may be some transitioning that was needed to be successful.
I've got some growing in emersed in a high humidity tank, but don't know much about low humidity. It probably would make the transition if it was done by slowly lowering the humidity. You might also try misting the plant with a spray bottle.
