Electrical question

I have a odyssea 48" t5ho 4bulbs, I not very good at electric stuff, my question is: is it alright to use 3 Bulbs in a 4bulb fixture, will it damage something if I do that?

I don't think it would harm anything is it works.

It might not light up at all depending on the configuration because it might not complete a circuit.

I'm guessing the bulbs are wired in parallel, so I would think they would work? But I'm not 100% sure. Shouldn't hurt anything to try.

If the bulbs are wired in sequence none of them will turn on. If it's wired in parallel it will work fine. Neither is harmful to the fixture or the bulbs
