New and EXPENSIVE(cost around 200 USD.... considering it is only 11watts) - Eheim's new UV... the Reeflex 800, the biggest model, noted the smallest 350 model with 12/16 hose connection , 500 and its sibling big bro 800 are both 16/22. The EHEIM Reeflex(I think the "reef-lex" is probably more intend to Reef audience instead of planted tank? just my guessing...)
about 50 cm in length.
another shot from the top of the box.
side of the box.
back of the box.
specifying this is a 800 model.
made in Germany….hmm.. really?
the bottom of the box.
Opening….
Tada!
Eheim still pack its product some how poorly… doesn’t really seem expensive when you unbox it….what a shame for 200 USD…..
the white structural support box is too thin to keep it safe from heavy dropping of mailers….but who is going to give a [censored][censored][censored][censored] if Eheim still making expensive product whiling packing it cheaply??
the back of the UV…
warranty and the long and dull writing manual…. why? Eheim, why?
I just don’t understand Eheim is so cheap on the accessories….
I am playing with the connector, I think Eheim should pack one double shut off tap.....at LEAST! If you are using Eheim's Classic canister, you know that thing is great... how am I gonna clean this UV if I don't have the shut off tap?????
Opening up the UV to inspect the inside of the “secret”….1.8 times more efficient?
Only two screws away
That cap will become loose and turn upside down, kinda tricky to install the UV-C bulb the first time, try a bit hard to untangle the power cord.....
A straight water tube, that is it, and the “reflective wall” does not seem too smooth to me… another disappointment….
inside
Finally, the UV-C bulb.
the bottom of the Eheim UV800. Notice that little hole is an indicator it will shine when UV is turn on.
MADE IN CHINA….UV-C… is it gonna be expensive too to replace the bulb?? I don’t know seriously…. hope NOT!!
