Purchased Eheim Liberty 200 while looking for cartridges found that the carbon cartridges have use span of 4 weeks only. That seems a bit much, doesn't it? Is there any harm to leave it longer?

Why not just remove the carbon completely and use some biomedia in its place?

There is really no reason to be using carbon unless you are trying to remove medication, etc.

Isn't carbon a good precaution for shrimp breeding tank?
