Hi all, I'm currently trying to upgrade to an ehiem filter for my 20 and possibly 10 gallon aquariums. The only problem is I don't know which filter to get...they seem to upgrade a lot, and after trying to google it there's just tons of controversy over who's experiences are more reliable:

Right now i'm assuming 2213 for the 10, and a 2215 for the 20. Or should i go 2215 for the 10 and 2217 for the 20?

I use eheim 2213 for my 20 gallon long shrimp tank.

2213 is perfect for 10-12gal tanks. Gives you flexibility when it comes to controlling flow.

2215 would work for a 20gal but 2217 would be much better.

From what I've read, adjust the flow on the exit line from your filter, the not inlet line. Easier on the motor.

Are you 100% sure on the 2217 for the 20gallon? I can understand the 2213 for the 10...But thats 159 gallons - 20...http://www.amazon.com/Classic-Exter...TF8&qid=1353219167&sr=1-1&keywords=Eheim+2217

A 2217 will work on a 20. A diy spraybar that goes the length of the tank or drill the holes bigger on the eheim spraybar with flow control valves on the QD.
