Hello all,
I am wanting to upgrade my Eheim 2213 to a 2217 model for my 30 gallon long planted aquarium. I know that this may seem like overkill given that the 2217 has a high flow rate. In order to combat this, I was going to extend the spray bar across a majority of the length of my tank to reduce the speed of the flow. I have slow moving Asian fish that I don't want to bother, but at the same time, I want a healthier aquarium and no powerheads in the tank. Would a Eheim 2217 on a 30 gallon be too much, or would a long spray bar be enough to spread out the flow more and allow me to have fish such as Honey Gourami? I'll also note that I'll have a Rex Grigg's CO2 reactor attached to my filter.
