I know how to calculate kW and kWh,but my question is this when calculating kW/kWh for a flourescent lighting do you calculate from the ballast or the watts consumed/used by the bulbs?

Anyone know this ?
You calculate the ballast consumption. In other words, whatever the total usage is at the wall receptacle.
