I have Eco in my tank, been in there about 6 months. I replanted over Christmas and in doing so noticed that it appears to have settled so that the top layer is mostly the larger grain size with all the sand type grains below them.
Makes it a real pain trying to plant things like hair grass with all those relatively big pieces at the top.

Anyone else have this problem with variable sized substrate?
I was afraid of giving it a good stir with all the mulm in there getting up into the water (fish remained resident during the replanting)

you could stir small sections at a time. but you'll have to keep at it. some remove the larger pieces as they add eco.
