I had not really seen this mentioned before, but I figured I would save at least one other person a little heartache. Eco-Complete has ferrous pieces in it. If you use a MagFloat or the such, you can see what this means. Tiny particles of it can be drawn towards the magfloat and work their way inbetween the glass and the algae scraper. This happened me a few months back and put a nice scratch front and center of my ADA tank.

try putting a rare earth magnetic on the glass ....you will see magic!!

I did scratch my glass a bit but not that much..or a big deal..hate going near the bottom of the gravel
