Hi Folks, My first post as new member.

So Had my Echinodorus about 6 weeks in low tech setup. He seemed fine until I noticed some leaves were browning/yellowing out from the bottom. When I investigated all of the leaves( even the lush green ones) just fell of at the base. On further investigation, the roots were mostly black and lifeless.

I have fine river sand substrate. When I added the Echinodorus I put in a kugeln clay ball, but otherwise no ferts.

Any advise would be great as I want to replace asap.
