I'm looking to find something easy to take care of that stays low and grows in the substrate. I have 2.9 watts per gallon so light should not be an issue. But my water is hard, pH ~7.4, which I wont change as I live by K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid) everything else is growing well so why bother.

My ideal is something that looks like grass, small narrow leaves; I basicly want a lawn in my foreground. Or mossy as a second choice.

Does anything fit the bill?

try everything....hairgrass, E. TEllenus, Dwarf sag, blyxa. Again I will make a shameless plug for marselia, but you mention that you want a more grassy look...
