Dwarf Onion question

Anyone know how dwarf onion plants will respond to dosing with Flourish Excel? I do not overdose, just the RXed amount daily in my 29 gallon. I do not have CO2 of any kind, but all my existing plants are lowlight, low tech. I like the look of the dwarf onions for a background. I plan to plant them in a heavy bunch for the fishes to hide in. Thanks.
