dwarf hairgrass carpet under one T8 bulb?

The tank is about 10 inches tall. The dwarf hairgrass will probably only be 7~8 inches away from the bulb.

Is it possible to grow a DHG carpet under just one T8 daylight bulb?

Also, how does dwarf sag do with dry start?

it is possible to get a carpet but it may be slow what substrate are yu intending on using and iv never dry started my dwarf sag so im unsure shud imagine it will be ok
I'd imagine the dwarf sag thing would be fine, but I have my doubts about the dhg
I'm using playsand. I'll use root tabs too, if the hairgrass will likely work out.
Hmmm... then what about riccia, under that lighting?

And how does riccia do DSM?
I would think that the t8 might be enough, where is hoppys par chart when you need it!

Will you be injecting co2

Also I would recommend getting some pool filter sand over play sand, doesn't stir up like play sand does :)

I will be injecting co2, but only if the plants can utilize it with the one T8.. this would be the first time I'm using co2 (if I do), so I know near nothing!

ah, darn should have gotten pool filter sand. I already bought the play sand, haha
You should be ok. Its just might take time to carpet but it shouldnt melt or die off.

Your better off with a 13+watt and a dome.
Would a single dome suffice? The dimensions of my tank are long. About 7 inches depth and 2 feet width.
