Dwarf Baby tears

What is the ideal pH for them? My tank is usually at like 7.2 and I might try to get some of these peat balls to lower the pH a tad more [Ebay Link Removed]

Also will it grow fine in ecocomplete? If not what other carpeting plant would be best?

Choose a carpet plant that is most suitable to yr tank conditions.
There are plants that need high light, CO2 and good fertilizers others can grown in low light, no CO2 n a bit of fertilizers. To see good results try to give them good conditions.

A list of plants that can be used to carpet an aquarium
*Elocharis Parvula-Dwarf hairgrass/Elocharis Acicularis
Marsilea Crenata/M.Hirsuta/M.Quadrifolia/*M.Minuta
*Sagittaria Subulata/S.Pusilla/S.Platyphylla
Hemianthus Callitrichoides Cuba/H.Glomeratus/H.Micranthemoides
*Lilaeopsis Brasiliensis-Brazilian microsword/L.mauritiana
Hydrocotyle Tripartita
Riccia Fluitans-crystalwort
*Echinodorus Tenellus-Pygmy chain sword
*Glossostigma Elatinoides
Utricularia Graminifolia
Pogostemon Helferi
*Staurogyne Repens

I've marked the plants I've used with an asterisk*
I got good results with high lights, ferts n Co2 Glossostigma Elatinoides, Staurogyne Repens, Sagittaria Subulata.
Low tech (shrimps only aquarium) Excel n low lights best results were achieved from Marsilea Minuta-slow grower but beautiful n strong.

I have a dual T5HO fixture (24 inches) over my 15 gallon and it is around 16 inches from the substrate. I have CO2 and ferts as well.

What about pygmy chain swords? Don't they carpet as well? I think I will either go with the pygmy or dwarf hair grass. I want one that stays a tad bit higher than most.

I can probably spare some 12"+ tenellus :)

Check I mentioned both of them. Pygmy chain swords will grow a bit slower but dwarf hair grass once they adjust themselves to the tank they will send runners and in no time cover the foreground.
So hairgrass will grow much faster? I want a carpet a lot faster so I would go with them. What is better to get, a few pots or a mat grown in coconut fiber? Or would I not be able to cut pieces out of the mat?

Sorry lol, I am not all that great with all the scientific names. I know plants by common names, still working on common names.
My hc and glosso are carpeting without co2 and maybe upper medium light range just fine.
Haveing interesting time with an attempt t baby tears. Have pressurized co2. Fluorite and dual t5 fixture. I planted it it turned brown ad now I think the plant is turning around now but is this common?

^ That is exactly what happen to mine.

They love Co2 more than light, I find Excel + Co2 is a great combo.

I would get HC but I think I want a plant that is a bit taller for the fish that I have. I might drain my 5.5 gallon move the dwarf hairgrass more together and put baby tears. I'm not all to sure though, I think the dwarf hairgrass might choke the HC.
