How big is your tank? One pot will only cover a very small area unless you spread them out one by one and wait for it to fill in. You will need very good lighting to maintain it.
Are you growing emersed? If not, do you have enough co2 for such an amount of light? What about fertilizers? If you dont have enough of either that explains it, gonna need more than just a lot of light for it to work for ya.Yeah this is one of the hardest plants to grow in my experience. I never thought of the individual planting method though. That could explain it.

Those are good points. But if they are planted as an entire pot in one area the roots tend to choke eachother out trying get re established, and i dont think it makes much of a difference how good ur fert/light/co2 balance isAre you growing emersed?
