i'm doing a drystart for my 20g long tank. its been in the drystart method for about a month now with amazing results. my question is will i still need to wait for the cycling process to take place or does the drystart take care of it?

Dry starting with ADA Aquasoil takes care of the cycling needed to minimize the leaching of ammonia from the Aquasoil. The ammonia is essentially mineralized by using a dry start. Then when you fill the tank with water, you have a lot of growing plants already there, ready to consume any ammonia that shows up in the water, so no more cycling is needed. I suggest you wait about a week before starting to add some fish, but longer isn't necessary.
