I got some Christmas Moss today and plan on putting it on the wood that I will get tomorrow to start dry starting it. Can I just place it on and not tie it down when dry starting?
And anything I should/shouldnt do/look out for with this species? I have never dry started before so am quite excited to try it out
Thanks :)

I'm not positive about this but here's my two cents. Most like 80% of aquatic mosses have a terrestrial form and a aquatic form. If you dsm Christmas moss most likely it will start growing terrestrial. Then when you fill it, it will start sending out aquatic fronds. And the terrestrial part turns brown dies and would become detached.
