I started a 5G with tropica soil and put in bacopa, AR and S repens. All the plants look nice, green and rooted with thick stems. They have not spread out to cover the substrate in carpet like I imagined but look stable. It has been about 5 weeks. My understanding of the dry start method in a new tank with high nutrient substrate is to let the plants get a head start in getting established so they outcompete the algae.
How will I know it is time to add water and turn my terrarium into an aquarium?
