Would a drop checker still work correctly in a tank that was getting its CO2 from the product flourish excel??
I've been using excel on my 55g and have stater having a few algae problems. I plan to upgrade to pressurized in the future but don't have the ability to do it at this time. Plus I have a two gallon jug of excel.
Excel isn't CO2, and it doesn't add CO2 to the tank. A drop checker will only react to the CO2 dissolved in the tank water. Excel is a source of carbon for plants, which can be sufficient for a low light tank, but not a high light tank.
