I have heard of varying degrees of success with drilling 10G tanks due to the thinness of the glass. I've drilled 20,40,55,and 75G tanks with no problem. Any input would be appreciated.

Use a new diamond bit and drill very straight and slow.I also have a garden hose running on the spot that im drilling.Ive drilled a lot of them setting up aquarium stores and have only broken one or two.
I thought 55's were tempered glass? can tempered glass be drilled?

They are drillable if you want shattered glass all over your floor

Call Aqueon. The sides are not tempered, only the bottoms. the bottom of the 40b however, is not tempered, bigger ones have tempered bottoms.
