How long does it usually take for the bacterial film on spider wood to go away? My fish are eating it but it's still nasty looking and stringing over onto a few plants. Thanks.

Hi malANDmatt,

It took several weeks for the fungus / slime to stop growing on my new Malaysian driftwood; lucky for me the Corydoras catfish loved it and ate it like candy as did the Siamese Algae Eater (Crossocheilus oblongus).

75 gallon with Malaysian driftwood

Thanks! My cories are also enjoying it but they can't seem to eat it fast enough. Lol! It's been in the tank for about 5 days now.
