I've been following the recommended dosage of Flourish for my 10 Gallon tank (1ml once a week), but I am still noticing signs of what could be potassium deficiency in some of my plants. One of my nanas has yellowing leaves, my anacharis has holes and my swords and some of my java ferns are developing translucent spots.
I have some left over API Leaf Zone, and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to start dosing that as well? Both have Potash (K20) and Chelated Iron (Fe). The recommend dose for the Leaf Zone is 5ml per week for 10 Gallons. Fourish has 0.14% k20 and 0.32% Fe. Leaf Zone has 3.0% K20 and 0.10% Fe. So that would be a dosage of 3.14% K20 and .42% Fe per week.
I don't have any way of measuring the amount of nutrients in my water, so I am following the recommend doses and doing a 20% water change once a week, skipping a week of dosing every month. The tank is heavily planted and for now lightly stocked with animals. I have 1 betta, 7 ghost shrimp, and 2 nerites, one full grown and one very small.
Here is a potato pic of my tank.
