i generally use liquid fertilizer(seachem) for my tank but i was wondering how to use dry fertilizer as i read somewhere that these are more cheap ....

can anybody plz tell me how to use dry fertilizer and if its safe for the fish and shrimps and are there any advantage of using root tabs.....

Liquid fertilizers that are commercially available, such as those made by Seachem are much more expensive when compared to dry fertilizers. Dry fertilizers can be dosed directly to your aquarium, and if you wish, you can even make liquid solutions of these fertilizers (e.g. you feel more comfortable dosing liquids, or perhaps you have a liquid doser, etc).

Dry fertilizers will be much cheaper than commercial liquid fertilizers.

As for how to use them, there are various dosing strategies (including Estimative Index (EI) and PPS-Pro).

Perfectly safe as long as you do so the right way. You need to google EI and pps-pro and get comfy because your about to do a lot of reading
