This is the EI stock solution mix that I got from the nutrientcompany.com. This is for 55gl tank.

I would stay away from CSM+B trace, period. Trace toxicity can develop . Seachem Comprehensive would be a better choice. Simple and less measuring. Since I switched many issues for me have gone away and stayed away! The KNO3 , PO4 mixes are good though, I would stay with those, but I would dose dry not pre mix according to tank volume. My 2 cents

How much is each dose supposed to be?


At 15 ml/dose, calculated for 50 gallons of water:

The KNO3 is about right

154.5 gms into 1000ML =

K - 4.729121148
N - 1.694183108
NO3 - 7.5

Per 15 ml dose

KH2PO4 looks like twice as much

47.0 gm into 1000 ml =

K - 1.070325261
P - 0.847933801
PO4 - 2.6


Per 15 ml dose

71.5 grams csmb into 1000 ml =

dGH - 0.066271865

Per 15 ml dose

So that's a bit less than the standard dose of .5 ppm Fe, but still plenty if not too much imho (it would be too much for my tanks)

No. The numbers are incorrect as burr has pointed out. It appears they are using this calculator which appears to be reporting improper doses.

Substitute the amounts below using 1 liter container and a 20ml dose.

Macro Bottle

KNO3 127.3 gm (approximately 24 1/2 teaspoons)
KH2PO4 19.4gm (approximately 3 1/2 teaspoons)

Each 20ml dose will add the following nutrients,

NO3 7.5 ppm
PO4 1.3 ppm
K 5.26 ppm

Micro Bottle

Plantex CSM+B 79.7 gm (approximately 18 1/2 teaspoons)

Fe 0.5
Mg 0.10719755
dGH 0.089556574
Cu 0.006891271
B 0.061255743
Mn 0.143185299
Mo 0.003828484
Zn 0.028330781
