fzone stainless sandblasted pipes came in. Is this rust? do I need to worry about it?

This is the "turning" piece that connects to the outflow pipe. Thanks in advance for your time.

Looks like rust to me. Try wiping it off, there is a chance it's just residue from the manufacturing process.

Sure enough my wife's suggestion of a magic eraser did the trick.

I have these same pipes and I get this on all of them after a while in the water. It seems to just rub off with a little pressure and abrasion.

Did you take the outlet tube apart?

yeah it's just pressure fit in place with what looks like vinyl tubing

That's great to know. I wasn't sure if it was glue or not. I should be able to adjust the flow direction a bit better now. Thanks!
