Hi! I joined to ask this community about this crack because it worries me. It cracked like 6 month ago, and it didn't get any worse, but i was thinking about repairing it with silicon, would it help?
It's hard to tell with these photos, but I feel like as long as that's contained to one piece of glass and the seal is still good that it's mostly just cosmetic.
Thank you all for the replays, yes, it is on the corner, and it is in the middle of the tank. I tried to make better photos. I cannot feel the silicon with my finger, so I guess there is still some kind of layer on it, but it is kind of deep that is why I am worried, but it is on the edge of the water, that is why I don’t think much pressure is on it. What kind of glue should I fill the hole with?
I used VersaChem 5 Minute Clear Epoxy to repair similar damage to an aquarium and it worked great and actually dried clear and not white. I think I got it at an automotive parts store but can't remember. Just follow the easy instructions and take your time to get it to look nice within the 5 minute working time.
