Does it take a while for Creeping Jenny to root?

I got some plants from a LFS sold to me as ludwig but I swear it is creeping jenny. I liked it so I bought a packet of it from Petco listed as Golden Jenny. Prob like 30+ stems in the package.

I planted them in my new 10 gallon. But two weeks later they barely have grown and are not rooting well. Most of them are falling apart or just being a pain. I had a bit of the same problem with the other plants I was sold at the LFS.

So do these just not root very well or are a bit more difficult to get started? Or is it because my 10 gal is cycling? I have not started EI dosing in my 10 gal yet. Using FloraMax in both tanks.
