Has anyone used Planted Aquarium Concepts root tabs?
I bought them bc the reviews were good.
I put them in a couple of days ago (after I ran out of the usual ones I use from Aquarium Co-op) and the next morning I woke up to my tank water being quite cloudy.
Tested the water hoping it wasn’t a bacteria bloom and all the parameters are normal (0/0/5-10ish)
The only thing that I did outside of my usual routine is use these new tabs. Well, I did add 4 jungle val plants. But that can’t cause cloudiness, can it?
I had to update my crushed corals in the filter as my Ph was slipping so I did about a 15-20% water change.
Water is still cloudy. Not MILKY but not clear like it was before.
After googling I see that API tabs are known to cause cloudy water but can’t find any info on these Planted Aquarium Concepts ones.
Could it be a weird imbalance between phosphate and iron? I read that those 2 elements dosed together can cause cloudiness.
Today, my params are still fine (0/0/5)
Should I just not use these in the future?
