Depends on the shrimp you are keeping and their requirements, as well as your water parameters.
I don't recall if you mentioned what your GH and KH are out of tap?
You don't *have* to use shrimp specific minerals, but I've found them to often be "cleaner" than fish minerals. That is, they have lower TDS compared to GH levels. Some might even contain minerals or nutrients in a specific amount for shrimp, thus being able to benefit them further.
