Title says it all. Do I need a permit to sell these across state lines? I keep getting mixed info online. Also, are apple snails and mystery snails the same thing? Again, confusing online info.
Any marisa or spixi is illegal (regardless of permit) to transfer across state lines. I think the garden variety petco mystery snails are fine.
They're illegal for a good reason too, btw. They devastate fragile (and hardy) eco-systems very quickly. Marisa eat plants (and so do some spixi), and spixi compete with fish and amphibians for food by eating smaller snails and invertebrates.
Those are two I had read that were illegal, and a few other types as well. So I wanted to clarify before I took these on since it seemed like you used to have to have a permit to sell these. Looked like the need for it was done away with a couple of years ago from the info I found. But I'd trust coming here and asking over what I was finding on the net.
