I am planning on running a drip exchange system to achieve automatic weekly water changes in my planted tank. I have a couple of questions. My tank is a 110 gallons, with a 30 gallon sump (its 140 gallons total volume).
Is RO/DI filtration a necessity or luxury in such a system?
I will have dosing pumps, and could add de-chlorinator with one of them. But, would that be necessary? Would 40 gallons a day be too much tap-water to dilute as it drips on its own into a 140 gallon system?
