Not sure if this is the proper sub-forum to post this so I'll just post it and see if it sticks....
Unfortunately, the only space I have for a tank is in my unheated garage and the ambient temperature in there is in the low 50's this time of year. I'm gathering everything I need to set up my tank and would like to start it using the DSM method. Once the tank is up and running, I'll be using a Hydor inline heater and temperature won't be an issue.
I'm wondering if anyone has any slick ideas for keeping the environment at an optimal temperature while doing a DSM? Maybe reptile tank heat element rigged to some kind of thermostat?
Other ideas?
