I am running a medium planted tank. I am adding the directed amount of Excel daily. Would it hurt to add just a little diy c02 ?

Adding CO2 will help your plants grow better.

How large is your aquarium?

I add both and use a pressurized CO2 system. The Excel helps a lot with keeping the the algae under control. The plants seem to like it.

It is a 55 gallon tank and it has about half the floor planted. I am running a Aquatic life T5 HO light with a 6000 54 watt bulb and a 6700 54 watt bulb. The light sits about 4 inches above the tank top.
